Agave americana standing over six feet tall (outdoors!) at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, which is not exactly a scorching climate in winter. The wide blue leaves have a way of their own design and get more twisted and artistic by the year.

Agave americana 'Mediopicta Alba' is for me one of the prettiest variegated succulents in existance. The juxtiposition of the solid, off white bands with the powder blue in a neat rosette looks right to the eye. This is also seen outdoors at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
